Brahma Rathotsava of Sampige Sri Srinivasa Temple – April 30 2026

The Sampige Rathotsava (Chariot Festival) attracts thousands of devotees. Worshipppers came together to celebrate the Sampige Sri Srinivasa Devaral Rathotsava on Thursday, Apr 30, 2026.
Sampige is a village and a gram panchayat located in the Turuvekere Taluk of the Tumkuru district. It is situated 110 kms from Bengaluru and 41 kms from Tumkuru.
The yearly celebration at the well-known Sampige Sri Srinivasa Temple in Tumkuru District was held with great joy and festivity.
The Rathotsava commenced at 9 AM on Thursday, following a series of rituals conducted by priests starting at 6 AM.
The Utsava murti was taken around the shrine and through the streets of Sampige village in a procession, after which it was placed in the chariot.
As the Chariot was drawn, worshippers chanted Narayana, Govinda, and Hare Srinivasa, while tossing bananas and other offerings.
Some of the donors offered buttermilk, fruit juice, and prasada to the devotees.
